President Obama has engaged in numerous high crimes and misdemeanors. The Democratic majority in Congress is in peril as Americans reject his agenda. Yet more must be done: Mr. Obama should be impeached.

He is slowly – piece by painful piece – erecting a socialist dictatorship. We are not there – yet. But he is putting America on that dangerous path. He is undermining our constitutional system of checks and balances; subverting democratic procedures and the rule of law; presiding over a corrupt, gangster regime; and assaulting the very pillars of traditional capitalism. Like Venezuela ‘s leftist strongman, Hugo Chavez, Mr. Obama is bent on imposing a revolution from above – one that is polarizing America along racial, political and ideological lines. Mr. Obama is the most divisive president since Richard Nixon. His policies are Balkanizing the country. It’s time for him to go.

He has abused his office and violated his oath to uphold the Constitution. His health care overhaul was rammed through Congress. It was – and remains – opposed by a majority of the people. It could only be passed through bribery and political intimidation. The Louisiana Purchase, the Cornhusker Kickback, the $5 billion Medicaid set-aside for Florida Sen. Bill Nelson – taxpayer money was used as a virtual slush fund to buy swing votes. Moreover, the law is blatantly unconstitutional: The federal government does not have the right to coerce every citizen to purchase a good or service. This is not in the Constitution, and it represents an unprecedented expansion of power.

Yet Obamacare’s most pernicious aspect is its federal funding of abortion. Pro-lifers are now compelled to have their tax dollars used to subsidize insurance plans that allow for the murder of unborn children. This is more than state-sanctioned infanticide. It violates the conscience rights of religious citizens. Traditionalists – evangelicals, Catholics, Baptists, Muslims, Orthodox Jews – have been made complicit in an abomination that goes against their deepest religious values. As the law is implemented (as in Pennsylvania ) the consequences of the abortion provisions will become increasingly apparent. The result will be a cultural civil war. Pro-lifers will become deeply alienated from society; among many, a secession of the heart is taking place.
I would add that, he has also granted hundreds of waivers to groups, organizations and companies that supported his candidacy, who claimed hardship if not excluded from Obamacare.  dwr
Mr. Obama is waging a frontal assault on property rights. The BP oil spill is a case in point. BP clearly is responsible for the spill and its massive economic and environmental damage to the Gulf. There is a legal process for claims to be adjudicated, but Mr. Obama has behaved more like Mr. Chavez or Russia ‘s Vladimir Putin: He has bullied BP into setting up a $20 billion compensation fund administered by an Obama appointee. In other words, the assets of a private company are to be raided to serve a political agenda. Billions will be dispensed arbitrarily in compensation to oil-spill victims – much of it to Democratic constituents. This is cronyism and creeping authoritarianism.

Mr. Obama’s multicultural socialism seeks to eradicate traditional America . He has created a command-and-control health care system. He has essentially nationalized the big banks, the financial sector, the automakers and the student loan industry. He next wants to pass “cap-and-trade,” which would bring industry and manufacturing under the heel of big government. The state is intervening in every aspect of American life – beyond its constitutionally delegated bounds. Under Mr. Obama, the Constitution has become a meaningless scrap of paper.

To provide the shock troops for his socialist takeover, Mr. Obama calls for “comprehensive immigration reform” – granting amnesty to 12 million to 20 million illegal aliens. This would forge a permanent Democratic electoral majority. It would sound the death knell for our national sovereignty. Amnesty rewards lawlessness and criminal behavior; it signifies the surrender of our porous southern border to a massive illegal invasion. It means the death of American nationhood. We will no longer be a country, but the colony of a global socialist empire.

Rather than defending our homeland, Mr. Obama’s Justice Department has sued Arizona for its immigration law. He is siding with criminals against his fellow Americans. His actions desecrate his constitutional oath to protect U.S. citizens from enemies foreign and domestic. He is thus encouraging more illegal immigration as Washington refuses to protect our borders. Mr. Obama’s decision on this case is treasonous.

As president, he is supposed to respect the rule of law. Instead, his administration has dropped charges of voter intimidation against members of the New Black Panther Party. This was done even though their menacing behavior was caught on tape: men in military garb brandishing clubs and threatening whites at a polling site. A Justice Department lawyer intimately involved in the case, J. Christian Adams, resigned in protest. Mr. Adams says that under Mr. Obama, there is a new policy: Cases involving black defendants and white victims – no matter how much they cry for justice – are not to be prosecuted. This is more than institutionalized racism. It is an abrogation of civil rights laws. The Justice Department’s behavior is illegal.. It poses a direct threat to the integrity of our democracy and the sanctity of our electoral process.

The gun running of “fast and furious” and continuing attempt to cover up, pass the blame and hide from the responsibility by Obama and Holder is indicative of Obama’s ignoring  the Constitution and his lawlessness. It was undoubtedly an effort to create a public outcry for more gun control. In my opinion, his plan also was to cause chaos for the Mexican citizens by letting the guns go into the drug cartels’ hands and terrorize the Mexican citizens. Forcing them to flee north across the border. Which would create a need for a refugee program for the fleeing Mexicans. Hence, an urgent need for amnesty for the sudden influx of illegal immigrants. dwr.

Corruption in the administration is rampant. Washington no longer has a government; rather, it has a gangster regime. The Chicago way has become the Washington way. Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel is a political hit man.. He is an amoral, ruthless operator. It was Mr. Emanuel who reached out to Rep. Joe Sestak, Pennsylvania Democrat, offering a high-ranking job in the hopes of persuading Mr. Sestak to pull out of the primary against Sen. Arlen Specter. It was Mr. Emanuel who offered another government position to Andrew Romanoff to do the same in the Colorado Democratic Senate primary. And it was Mr. Emanuel – as the trial of former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich has revealed – who acted as the go-between to try to have Valerie Jarrett parachuted into Mr. Obama’s former Senate seat. The only question was: What did Mr. Blagojevich want in exchange?

This is not simply sleazy Chicago machine politics. It is the systematic breaking of the law – bribery, attempt to interfere (and manipulate) elections using taxpayer-funded jobs, influence peddling and abuse of power.

The common misperception on the right is that Mr. Obama is another Jimmy Carter: an incompetent liberal whose presidency is being reduced to rubble under the onslaught of repeated failures. The very opposite, however, is true. He is the most consequential president in our lifetime, transforming America into something our Founding Fathers would find not only unrecognizable, but repugnant. Like all radical revolutionaries, he is consumed by the pursuit of power – attaining it, wielding it and maximizing it. Mr.. Obama’s fledgling thug state must be stopped.

It is more crucial now than ever that the leadership in the House instigate a committee to investigate every aspect of Obama’s administration, his cabinet and his czars. He will stop at nothing, we the people should stop at nothing and turn over every stone Obama has placed to bury our Constitution. dwr.

If Republicans win back Congress in November, they should – and likely will – launch formal investigations into this criminal, scandal-ridden administration. Rep. Darrell Issa, California Republican and ranking member of the Oversight and Government Reform Committee, has promised as much. Mr. Obama has betrayed the American people. Impeachment is the only answer.. This usurper must fall.

Earlier this decade, Michael Barone wrote a book entitled “Hard America, Soft America: Competition vs. Coddling and the Battle for America’s Future”. His premise was that we are becoming an America of Soft people demanding entitlements at other people’s expense, unwilling or unable to stand on our own and looking to the government instead of ourselves to provide our every need.

Our school system typifies this Soft Socialist attitude. The system avoids competition and promotes instead a Soft Socialist concept of self esteem that elevates how one feel’s above the reality of actual merit. Consequences are avoided at all costs. Failure is so demeaning that we dare not even try. Passed along from grade to grade without the barest of essential skills, we are producing Soft Socialist Americans with no understanding of the real world.

Hard CONSERVATIVE America, on the other hand, plays for keeps. People are not advanced because they “feel good” about themselves, but on the basis of solid performance. In Hard CONSERVATIVE America there are real consequences to failure.  But, Hard CONSERVATIVE America is in danger of being overwhelmed by Soft Socialist America.

If you have any doubt about how Soft Socialistic we are becoming, consider the mantra, “Too big to fail”. The bailouts of the automotive industry, the banking and financial segments of our economy and the push for universal healthcare are all attempts to remove the consequences of poor choices and proof positive of the ascendancy of “Soft Socialist America” today.

But, the problem is, to quote Barone:

“Soft Socialist America depends on the productivity, creativity and competence of Hard CONSERVATIVE America, which protects the country and pays its bills.”

As we descend deeper and deeper into the “comfort” of a Soft Socialist life of victim hood where no one is accountable for their choices and big brother will always ride to the rescue; we are destroying the essential American character. Our country was built upon character which is self reliant, courageous in the face of adversity and unwilling to trade away personal freedom for the government’s promise of security.

From the Pilgrims who faced long odds and Hard CONSERVATIVE times to pursue freedom regardless of the cost; to the signers of our Declaration who pledged their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor to bring freedom to these shores; from the rugged pioneers who overcame significant Hardships to expand our borders from coast to coast; to our astronauts risking their lives to expand our borders to the moon and beyond; from the Minutemen at Concord to our brave soldiers buried across Europe, the American character has resisted the easy way and has stood firmly for personal freedom and rejected the idea that someone else owed us an easy life.

Elections Have Consequences

Soft Socialist America and OBAMA won an overwhelming victory in 2008. Soft Socialist America has savagely attacked the concept of merit and competency. Soft Socialist America has undermined the free enterprise system that built the greatest nation in history and has denigrated success in favor of handouts and protectionism. Soft Socialist America has consistently mocked and discouraged the small business entrepreneur; preferring instead to “Spread the wealth around”. Soft Socialist America is attempting to void the consequences of bad choices and that will ultimately destroys character and the work ethic so critical to achieving the American dream.

If Soft Socialist America prevails, the impact on the American spirit and America’s future will be grim. The drive to turn us all into beggars dependent on the federal government’s benevolence for our daily needs will gain great momentum. 

To overcome the accelerating trend lines of the last few years, Hard CONSERVATIVE America must be willing to once again find the inner strength to stand firm for the bedrock principles of limited government, personal accountability and free markets. The cost to right the ship of state, restore fiscal sanity and rebuild the American dream for our children will not be easy and will not be accomplished without personal sacrifice. 

ARE WE READY TO PAY THE PRICE, TO MAKE THE EFFORT, TO FIGHT, TO STRUGGLE TO RESTORE AMERICA?

If we truly want a smaller government, balanced budgets and a free market economy, we must decide what federal programs we are willing to forego.

This is not a rhetorical question. The answer is NOT what others must give up; the answer is not a litany of bloated federal bureaucracies that we must shut down.  The question is much more personal. If we are to be successful in restoring the America our founders intended, we must decide what price we are personally willing to pay

Are we willing to allow sound fiduciary principles, eliminate ear marks, to guide a restructuring of our social security benefits to ensure the long term viability of the program?

Are we willing to live within our means, rejecting pork heavy projects, federal attempts to buy us off with a new car or make our mortgage payment or pay off our personal credit cards?

The list is surely much longer as we consider the personal sacrifices we must be willing to make to restore America. The critical point is that without personal sacrifice, all our proclamations of concern for the debt, for the future of our country, our public outcry demanding smaller government are hollow and empty.

Without a commitment to personal sacrifice, all our protestations are simply selfishly motivated calls for others to sacrifice for our benefit. If smaller government is to become a reality; if we are truly to have a government living within its means, then the sacrifice must be shared by all.

The only path to a smaller government is to reduce spending, reduce or eliminate wasteful programs and provide an environment where the free market can function without artificial barriers.

Once we have committed to the personal sacrifice needed to restore sanity in the federal government, then we have the moral authority to suggest major cuts in other parts of the federal government. Just a few suggestions:

Eliminate the Energy Department and the Education Department

Reduce the State Dept and the Justice Dept by 10%

Reduce the IRS by 80% and replace the income tax with a fair tax

Reduce Federal employees by a minimum of 33% (from 2.1 million to 1.4 million)

RULE: Earmarks illegal.

Obviously, this list can be expanded (We welcome you thoughts). But before we rise up and demand these kinds of changes, we must signal our willingness to bear our share of the sacrifice.

This email has not addressed increasing federal revenue. As President Reagan said, “Our government doesn’t tax too little, it spends too much.” If our goal is smaller government, then our attention must be on reducing spending and the overall size of the federal government. 

That said, in principle, when the government is functioning properly, it creates an environment when business can prosper and grow. In so doing, the federal revenues will grow accordingly. We must resist the liberal’s first reflex to raise taxes to meet revenue needs. While it may seem counter intuitive, if you raise taxes, you ultimately lower revenue while if you lower taxes, you raise revenue (Google “Laffer Curve”).

With common sense and courage, and a renewed dependence on our Creator we shall overcome the Socialist Progressive’s agenda and restore America.

A young mother was being interviewed on a national network recently. She was expressing her concern that the government’s approach to the mortgage crisis was to bail out home owners unable to meet their financial obligations while she and her husband adjusted their life style, lived within their means and struggled from month to month to make their house payment. She asked where is the lobbyist standing up for my family and the millions like us. The interviewer asked her if she and her husband had ever considered missing a couple of payments so that they could qualify for the government assistance. 

Her reply was striking, “NO, not ever! We weren’t raised that way.”

Thank God for Hard CONSERVATIVE Americans willing to stand by their principles and make Hard CONSERVATIVE choices rather than being bought by a federal government bent on making us all beggars.

Hard CONSERVATIVE America, we make a statement about what kind of nation we will leave future generations: One strong and free or one indebt and bondage? Make your voices heard!

That class had insisted that Obama’s socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer.

The professor then said, “OK, we will have an experiment in this class on Obama’s plan”.

All grades would be averaged and everyone would receive the same grade so no one would fail and no one would receive an A.

After the first test, the grades were averaged and everyone got a B.

The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy. 

As the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride too so they studied little. 

The second test average was a D! No one was happy.

When the 3rd test rolled around, the average was an F.

The scores never increased as bickering, blame and name-calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one would study for the benefit of anyone else. 

All failed, to their great surprise, and the professor told them that socialism would also ultimately fail because when the reward is great, the effort to succeed is great but when government takes all the reward away, no one will try or want to succeed.

Could it be any simpler than that ??

I am motivated to write this document early in the communist takeover of my country so I won’t have the same regrets that I had in my old country, Cuba, 50 years ago by not explaining to my friends what the big Communist plan was all about.

I decided to write this after I had a conversation with a great, old friend of mine born and raised in the USA.

When I told my friend that we were moving fast into communism, he laughed his head off telling me that this was impossible. I think it is worth mentioning that this friend of mine is a well educated, intelligent member of our society which I always admire.

Knowing what I learned early in the Cuban process, I came across several of my friends who were improperly educated on this subject and tried to inform them, many times unsuccessfully, about what these goons were planning for the Cuban people. The reaction then was similar to the reaction that I hear now from some of my American born friends…. This will never happened in the USA.

Many look at me as they did in Cuba, as a psychotic patient who just missed the last dose of Haldol.

My friends, you have been completely and absolutely misled, it could happen in the USA!

And worse than this; it is happening right now!

To prove my point I am going to outline what I learned right before the Cuban Revolution took place, the same cookbook has been used in Venezuela, Bolivia, Nicaragua, Ecuador and other countries. Please, compare this with what is happening right now in our country and (Please read the article after this one) you WILL have a different perspective all together, from now on you will be able to recognize what these goons are up to.

Remember, this is not a Republican, Democrat or Independent thing, these terms are only for our consumption, this is an “AMERICAN THING”.

One of the characteristics of Communism is their capability for adaptation and you see them changing names, corporations, business names etc.. Before they were communists now they Progressives, liberals, Peace activists, Socialists etc. It doesn’t matter for them, they use all these fellow travelers in their way to success!

I have been following these goons for the past 50 years and there is a credit to them… They, not only stick to their plans, they adjust them as they go along!

For those of you who never lived the communist experience (Now called the progressive experience) allow me to make you aware of what these goons are up to:

1.- On the national health care arena.

Don’t believe under any circumstances that these characters are concerned about the 40 million out of the 300 millions that do not have health insurance because they really don’t care at all about them.

The whole purpose for this change is to CONTROL the population FOR votes.  edicare and Medicaid were bankrupt by them by spending the money in social programs that it was not intended for. These accounts are now depleted and unable to cover the debt to pay for the elderly medical care.  Knowing this, these goons, are fully aware of the fact that their personal health insurance is not on the table since they have assured themselves to have a separate medical insurance, paid by us the taxpayers.

So what are they looking for? They are looking for all of us to cover, not only the 40 million young uninsured but also to bail the damages created by guys like Barney Frank, Reed and Pelosi on Medicare and Medicaid by using these funds for other vote generating social programs.  Politically wise it has a tremendous fringe benefit for the goons. This is well seen in the communist countries where socialized medicine has been established. If you are a government dissident you, nor your family, are getting the same medical benefits as the rest of the party members, so you need to make up your mind; either join and support them or live the consequences.

I have been practicing medicine in this country for the past 35 years and I have never seen any patient dying due to denial of medical services. Every patient including illegal immigrants that come to our emergency rooms are treated properly with the best medical care.

No body can make me believe that the US government is willing to scarify the best health care system in the world for a questionable 14% of the population. All they need to do is create a plan to service this small group and the problem is over with.

BUT no, they have some other agenda under their sleeve and we shall soon see it.

2.- On the business confiscation arena

Let the public be aware that when companies such s GM are ran by the government and the Unions, they have no reason to protest incase that they feel short in the deal. How can you protest when you won the company?

The case in point is, recently in Venezuela, PDVSA (Oil industry) was confiscated by the government. Now the people of Venezuela own the oil industry together with the Unions, but things are not doing well for the Venezuelan oil industry employees. Can they protest?…..NO. The Unions have lost their power of negotiation since now THEY own part of the oil business. As result of this, the people of Venezuela are helpless and can’t defend themselves from the atrocities caused by their bosses (themselves).

Let the Unions in the USA understand that in a Communist (Progressive) system of this nature there is no place for Unions, even though the system uses them to gain power and latter on destroys them. These fellow travelers are used until they are not needed any longer and then discarded. There is an old saying in these circles …. The revolution eventually will devour its own!

Confiscation usually begins at the top. Most of the people approves of it because “After all I don’t make that kind of money” …. but eventually gets to everyone and soon everybody down to the bottom of the pyramid suffer the consequences. This philosophy is similar to the one suffered by the Jewish people in Nazi Germany when the SS came for their neighbor and they did nothing until they came after themselves and nobody did anything.

Salary police (Czars) is needed to confiscate from the top down and eventually, with time, will get to the bottom when everybody’s salary is dictated from the top.

The only people that can make unlimited amount of moneys are the goons at the top.

Even though they oppose drilling in the USA, after they gain power, since they control the environmental groups, they start drilling for the “revolution”, something that we can’t do today!

3.- Education

It is imperative in a communist system that the government controls the schools. Why? In a repressive system where they need to know everything about everybody so they can direct their attack on the dissidence they use the students as spies to learn about their parents political ideas.  So therefore our president may have changed his speech to the schools for a very benign one but you can be assure that as he speaks to them again and again, progressively, his speech will reflect his intentions.

4.- Food supply

In a system foreseen by these goons, food supply needs to be controlled by the government as a repressive tool on the population. By controlling the food supply they can assure themselves that people are going to think twice before they participate in anti-government activities having the fear of loosing their ration cards. The government will be the controller for the food supply, using a ration card, to keep their elite well supplied while they oppress the rest of the population.

5.- Civil military force

This is a very important part of this dictatorial complex. By controlling the schools and sending our children from the very beginning into these “ Boy Scout” revolutionary camps they can be indoctrinated to create the military elite needed for civil population control.

6.- News media

This is a must; nothing can happen unless they control the news media. This part of the equation is already greatly controlled by them. They create the news and propagate it!, No room for dissent!

7.- New technology never used before

In the old days of the Soviet Union, East Germany and Cuba, computers were not widely disseminated as they are now. Video cameras and satellite communications were primitive.

They need to control the population as they did in these countries with the “Neighborhood committees” located on each block and reporting to the central office downtown.

Now their intentions are different, they want to tag every person/house with a GPS marker and attach to this information a data file of each person with all the detail personal information on each person (Gun ownership, political affiliation other beliefs, etc.) The entity that was going to be in charge of this was ACORN during the national census that now is located and controlled by the White House. Now just watch and see how they change ACORN for another entity created for this control.

My friends, changes are happening faster than expected and in the wrong direction. By knowing these plans, described above, you will have the capability of recognizing them as these communists move around like snakes. Lets all be fully aware what these goons are doing to our country and lets rally against them early in the game, I believe that we can stop them from taking our country over and destroying her as they did to Russia, East Germany, Cuba, Venezuela, etc.

8.- New takeover tactic.

As they have learned throughout their years in practice, they have concluded that the easiest way to take a country is through “Democracy”. They have learned in Venezuela, Nicaragua, etc that is easier to get into power through a democratic process and then, from within, change the constitution to their advantage. (Military takeover was not only costly but inefficient) By having a group of Czars ( Goons that have no congressional oversight and respond only to the president) they can push their agenda through, against the will of the people.   In Venezuela Chavez was able to control all government branches, having full control on the political process.  By the way, one of the subjects that they talked about in the 50’s was that to acquire full control of a country, they had to collapse the capitalist economy so the Communist system could save it from bankruptcy and rebuild the system under the new regime.

MOST OF ALL OF THIS HAS ALREADY HAPPENED.

1. What if I had told you in October 2008, before the last presidential election, that before Barack Obama’s first 100 days in office, the federal government would be in control of both the mortgage and the banking industries? That 19 of America ‘s largest banks would be forced to undergo stress tests by the federal government which would determine if they were insufficiently capitalized, so they must be supervised by the government?  Would you have said, “C’mon, that will never happen in America .”

2. What if I had told you that within Barack Obama’s first 100 days in office the federal government would be the largest shareholder in the US Big-Three automakers: GM, and Chrysler? That the government would kick out the CEO’s of these companies and appoint hand-picked executives with zero experience in the auto industry and that executive compensation would be determined, not by a Board of Directors, but by the government?  Would you have said, “C’mon, that will never happen in America!”

3. What if I had told you that Barack Obama would appoint 21 Czars, without congressional approval, accountable only to him, not to the voters, who would have control over a wide range of US policy decisions. That there would be a Stimulus Accountability Czar, an Urban Czar, a Compensation Czar, an Iran Czar, an Auto Industry Czar, a Cyber Security Czar, an Energy Czar, a Bank Bailout Czar, and more than a dozen other government bureaucrats with unchecked regulatory powers over US domestic and foreign policy. That the Interpol would have diplomatic immunity to act in America above our FBI or CIA.  Would you have said, “C’mon, that will never happen in America !”

4. What if I had told you that the federal deficit would be $915 billion in the first six months of the Obama presidency – with a projected annual deficit of $1.75 trillion – triple the $454.8 billion in 2008, for which the previous administration was highly criticized by Obama and his fellow Democrats. That congress would pass Obama’s $3.53 trillion federal budget for fiscal 2010… That the projected deficit over the next ten years would be greater than $10 trillion.
Would you have said, “C’mon, that will never happen in America !”

5. What if I had told you that the Obama Justice Department would order FBI agents to read Miranda rights to high-value detainees captured on the battlefield and held at US military detention facilities in Afghanistan . That Obama would order the closing of the Guantanamo detention facility with no plan for the disposition of the 200-plus individuals held there. That several of the suspected terrorists at Guantanamo would be sent to live in freedom in Bermuda at the expense of the US government. That our returning US veterans would be labeled terrorists and put on a watch list.  Would you have said, “C’mon, that will never happen in America !”

6. What if I had told you that the federal government would seek powers to seize key companies whose failures could jeopardize the financial system. That a new regulatory agency would be proposed by Obama to control loans, credit cards, mortgage-backed securities, and other financial products offered to the public. Would you have said, “C’mon, that will never happen in America !!”

7. What if I had told you that Obama would travel to the Middle East, bow before the Saudi king, and repeatedly apologize for America ‘s past actions. That he would travel to Latin America where he would warmly greet Venezuela ‘s strongman Hugo Chavez and sit passively in the audience while Nicaraguan Marxist thug Daniel Ortega charged America with terrorist aggression in Central America. Would you have said, “C’mon, that will never happen in America !!”

8. Okay, now what if I were to tell you that Obama wants to dismantle conservative talk radio through the imposition of a new “Fairness Doctrine.” That he wants to curtail the First Amendment rights of those who may disagree with his policies via internet blogs, cable news networks, or advocacy ads. That most major network television and most newspapers will only sing his phrases like state-run media in communist countries? Would you say, “C’mon, that will never happen in America !!!”

9. What if I were to tell you that the Obama Justice Department is doing everything it can to limit your Second Amendment rights to keep and bear arms. That the federal government wants to reinstate the so-called assault weapons ban which would prohibit the sale of any type of firearm that doesn’t require the shooter to pull the trigger every time a round is fired. That Obama’s Attorney General wants to eliminate the sale of virtually all handguns and ammunition, which most citizens choose for self-defense. Would you say, “C’mon, that will never happen in America !!!”

10. What if I were to tell you that the Obama plan is to eliminate states rights guaranteed by the Tenth Amendment and give the federal government sweeping new powers over policies currently under the province of local and state governments and voted on by the people. That Obama plans to control the schools, energy production, the environment, health care, and the wealth of every US citizen. Would you say, “C’mon, that will never happen in America !”

11. What if I were to tell you that the president, the courts, and the federal government have ignored the US Constitution and have seized powers which the founders of our country fought to restrict. That our last presidential election may have been our last truly free election for some time to come. I know, I know what you will say. “That will never happen in America !”

A common phrase at the beginning of the Cuban revolution, while these changes were happening, was: “This will never happen in Cuba, the Yankees will invade before any of this occurs.”

YES, it happened and the Yankees never invaded Cuba. The same happened in Venezuela, Nicaragua, etc, etc.

My dear friends PLEASE wake up, it is happening in AMERICA!

When a word comes too close to actually identifying an inconvenient reality, secular progressives spring into action. The offending word is either redefined or reduced its first letter, thereby signifying that polite society will no longer accept it. You’ve heard of the N word, the B word (think Hillary) and now comes the S word.

By its abbreviation, the S word, formerly known as socialism, infers a negative connotation. A negative connotation richly deserved due to the incontrovertible fact that socialism has failed every where it has been tried.

In a nutshell, socialism is an economic system where property is held in common, not individually, and its ideal is a centrally directed economy. Socialism entails the substitution of group decision making for individual choice. In this case, the ‘group’ making the decisions are the 32 (and counting) unelected and unaccountable czars Obama is anointing.

The origins of socialist thought come directly from Aristotle. Aristotle believed that since only actions aiming at a perceived benefit to others were, to his mind, morally approved, then actions solely for personal gain (capitalism) must be bad.

This theory of Aristotle’s is the basic premise of the Obama administration. By claiming the ‘moral high ground’ of the ‘greater good’ Obama and his minions have free reign to radically alter both our system of government and the hundreds of years of tradition it represents.

Under the guise of altruism and the greater good, Obama has launched a full scale attack on capitalism. The very capitalism that has fed the world for decades. The capitalism that has produced the highest standard of living in the freest and most productive country in the world. But, according to the ruling elite, capitalism is bad, because it entails, gasp, ‘profit’. And every progressive worth his salt knows profit is only possible on the backs of less fortunate. Right?

Obama and the secular progressives who now determine policy in America pride themselves on being the intellectual representatives of modern thought and thus superior in knowledge, wisdom and moral virtue than those who hold traditional values (conservatives). They believe their duty is to offer new ideas to the public and deride whatever is conventional and/or traditional. Newness, not truth, is their main value.*

The fly in Obama’s ointment is the fact that the system of socialism isn’t very good at creating wealth. Only individuals do that. But hey, socialism is ‘ethically superior’ and that’s what counts. Right?

Obama was voted into office based on his skill at selling abstract ideas like equality and justice. Millions of Americans bought into his spiel. Most likely the very same Americans who buy lottery tickets. Against all reason, they were led to believe that the government can provide them a free lunch. And there will be no cost to them. And best of all, these moochers can also claim the moral high ground. After all, they are victims of rich capitalists. And that’s not fair! And its not their fault that they haven’t won life’s lottery.

The problem with their premise can be reduced to two words. Free will. God gave us free will – the ability to fail or succeed based on the choices we make. Obama proposes to do away with free will and vest those decisions in a central government.

Losers can now breathe a sigh of relief. Whew. Now, instead of losers, they’re much valued victims. And the new socialist society Obama and friends are in the process of implementing has a moral duty to shield them from the consequences of their bad choices. But best of all, socialism allows life’s losers the moral high ground as they systematically plunder the fruits of another man’s labor.

This is socialism. This is what President Obama wants America to be. But students of history insist on asking the question: How long can a society survive that rewards failure and punishes success? Unfortunately, America will get an answer to that question if Obama is allowed to continue transforming our country into his ‘new and improved’ idea of a socialist utopia.

The slow, ugly death of health care reform reflects the left’s deep crush with crises.  Government, of course, is a necessary evil.  Even Marxists dream of a distant future in which the state will “whither away.”  Global Warming is a crisis, even though there is a profound disagreement among scientists about which direction the climate is changing and whether people can have any significant impact upon any change that is taking place.

Periodically we are informed that there is an infrastructure crisis — roads, bridges, water lines, school buildings, etc. are wearing out because they are getting older.  The largely mythical “Hunger in America” in the 1960s was a crisis which produced the Food Stamp Program, and now — with a straight face! — Leftists’ planners warn us that obesity is the most serious health problem of the poor.  Monumental levels of government “stimulus” spending was supposed to end the economic crisis (which could never — of course — be the consequent of monumental levels of government spending in the first place!)  And now, of course, we face (whether we are deemed “smart” enough to see it or not) a health care crisis.

In a way, life is a serious of crises.  We all will get sick and die.  Families, religious congregations, communities have for ages quite naturally provided what comfort, help, and support they can.  Hospitals, for example, were essentially creatures of religious orders not acting in response to a particular “crisis,” but rather in accordance with religious injunctions to care for the sick.

Economies are intended to fluctuate — there would be little reason for a stock market if economies were static — and almost everything that the left deems a “crisis” is simply the natural process of change in any normal society.  It is not change that Obama and his disciples believe in.  It is free and rational change that terrifies them.  They have a single, old, failed model for society:  central planning by bureaucrats.  Replicating the Fabian Socialists of Britain, the New Deal, and the other myriad examples over the last century, from National Socialism’s highly planned system of economic development and health services, to old style, hopelessly obsolete labor unions, is the dream of Obama.

There is no health care crisis, and the problems which exist in any system are being quietly, privately, addressed.  How many people have seen jars in small businesses asking neighbors to donate money from a child needing medical care?  How many millions of Americans have given money and time for such wonderful facilities as St. Jude’s Hospital or the Shriner’s Hospital?  How many congregants of churches and synagogues visit people in the hospital or do volunteer work?  Aside from the simple truth that economic markets work better than central planners, private compassion intelligently provided is often the best medicine of all.

Perhaps the most profound repudiation of the Marxist notion of capitalists acting as soulless competitors grinding down the poor is vast outpouring of private contributions and, in the case of medical personnel in private practice, donated services not just for family and neighbors, but for total strangers.  I have known neurosurgeons who performed very expensive operations for nothing, even paying for the travel costs of patients.  I have known heart surgeons who have done the same thing. 

What is our health care “crisis”?  It is a crisis of government bureaucrats who take years to allow effective, often inexpensive, drugs which have been used in Europe to be used in America.  It is a crisis of rapacious trial lawyers who never heal anyone, but who transfer massive amounts of money used for medical purposes into mansions and expensive law offices.  It is a morass of federal regulation of state medical assistance programs, so that federal regulations rather than common sense dictate how state governments care for their citizens? 

Despite the depictions from the left, our crisis is essentially imaginary.  Information about medical care and procedures among patients is increasing exponentially because of the internet, as well as support groups which provide real experiences and also moral support.  Miracle drugs, which cost a lot, are still miracle drugs, and the pool of cheap, good, generic drugs grows virtually every day.  Without incentives or threats, those Americans who wish to live healthy lives through exercise, diet, abstinence from dangerous habits, and so forth, make that choice.   And a profoundly compassionate American society is providing much of what is still lacking.

Crisis, to the left, means imperfect.  It pleads, in spite of history, that Utopia is heaven, rather than hell.   All life has some sickness, some injury, some loneliness, some doubt, some fear, some want, and certain, though undetermined, end.  Our planet, also, will cool or warm or someday, perhaps, be hit by an asteroid.  Life is filled with imperfections that are not crises.  The real crisis is when we stop being human and become sheep, snapped by the Border Collies of the left into an existence of endless little crises like which pond to drink from or which lane to follow.  The real crisis is when we surrender our will to those drunk on our panic.
