WE STAND TOGETHER!

We are all tired and have plenty to do, but IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT for us to set aside some time to stand together with Michelle Bachman and TEA Party Patriots from all over America on Thursday, Nov. 5th at 11:00 AM (12:00 ET) to oppose this monstrosity of a health care bill that is designed to be government control of Americans.

The Tip of Texas TEA Party encourages Harlingen, Brownsville and Surrounding Areas to join us as we rally near Representative Solomon Ortiz’s office at 11:00 AM on Thursday, Nov. 5th.

Paseo Plaza Shopping Center
1805 E. Ruben Torres Blvd.,
Brownsville (across the street from HEB)

It is suggested to send up to 3 people at a time in Ortiz’s office, each signing the register, voicing opposition to government controlled health care and delivering a letter.

Write a letter to your letter to your Congressman, asking him to VOTE NO on this Health Care bill. Bring the letter to the rally on Thursday, Nov. 5th, at 11:00 AM. You will be a part of this nation-wide effort to bring thousands of constituents to Congressional members’ offices to put pressure on them to vote AGAINST the proposed health care “reform” bill that is expected to go for a vote on Friday.

These individual letters truly make a difference and TEA Party Patriots encourages you to make a copy of your hand written letter and fax it to them at 678-302-5377.

They will hand deliver it for you!

E-mail those on your email lists and ask them to participate in the Congressional House Calls by visiting the District Office of their Congressional Member at 11:00 Am (noon ET) on Thursday, Nov. 5th.

Call everyone you know and spread the word.

Encourage everyone to come out for this.

It may well be our last chance to stop this take over by our government.

The committee is supposed to vote Friday.

Will you take a minute and help us make sure that the majority of messages SUPPORT verification?

Don’t let La Raza’s voice be the main voice these Senators hear.

If you are reading this Thursday evening, please make a phone call and leave a message on the answering machine of your U.S. Senator who is on the Finance Committee.

If you are reading this Friday morning, please immediately call your Senator’s office and talk to the staff.

Call 202-224-3121 . . .

. . . and ask for your Senator.

Scroll down to see the Senators we are targeting.

You can get the personal phone numbers of your Senator by clicking on www.NumbersUSA.com/myMembers

YOUR MESSAGE ON THE PHONE:

“Please tell the Senator that the people of our state want strict verification procedures to keep illegal aliens from being part of any federal health plan.

“Carry out the President’s promise for verification.”

EXCERPT FROM LA RAZA’S ALERT TONIGHT:

“Tomorrow, the Senate Finance Committee will vote on important amendments that could make or break your ability to access affordable, quality health care. We need them to hear your voice NOW!

“This is a critical time for the Latino community to take action. That is why we and our partners at the National Hispanic Leadership Agenda (NHLA), are joining together to flood the voice mailboxes of members of the Senate Finance Committee tonight with messages from the Latino community. Together we can demand that health care reform not leave us behind!”

Already this week, Rep. Waxman (D-Calif.), chairman of the Energy and Commerce Committee in the House, ruled out of order an amendment to require verification in the health plan.

We can’t let that happen in the Senate. Pres. Obama — under intense pressure — has promised verification. Finance Committee Chairman Baucus (D-Mont.) has promised verification.

Make sure we get it.

The Max Baucus version of the Health Care bill that is coming up in the Senate today deserves our calls to our Senators. Here is a letter from Grassfire that will give you information and details. :

Steve Elliott, President, Grassfire.org Alliance

Tomorrow the Senate starts voting on ObamaCare and the unconstitutional “individual mandate.” See below. –Steve

Michael E,

Tuesday, the Senate Finance Committee is expected to begin voting on the Baucus version of ObamaCare.

Many are saying this debate in Senate Finance could determine whether Obama and the Democrats pass government-run healthcare this fall.

Don’t be fooled by the media spin. This latest version is still an oppressive, government-run healthcare system.

“Individual Mandate” is an unconstitutional TAX!

Despite all the posturing, the Baucus bill is still based on the same socialistic premise as the other versions in Congress — a government-mandated healthcare system that every American is forced to participate in!

That’s because the centerpiece remains the so-called “individual mandate” that is blatantly unconstitutional and amounts to an oppressive new tax.

Where in the Constitution does the federal government have the authority to impose this “individual mandate”? The answer is clear — there is NO constitutional authority for such a power grab. In fact, two former Justice Department officials said in the Wall Street Journal that the individual mandate “would expand the federal government’s authority over individual Americans to an unprecedented degree. It is also profoundly
unconstitutional.”

Plus, the “individual mandate” is an oppressive tax, a fact recognized even by ABC’s George Stephanopolous. Stephanopolous directly asked President Obama: “Under this mandate, the government is forcing people to spend money, fining you if you don’t. How is that not a tax?”

Stephanopolous even cited the dictionary definition of “tax” to which Obama accused him of “stretching” the definition.

Of course, Obama never actually rejected the assertion that the “individual mandate” is a tax. He simply went on the attack, like he always does, trying to discredit his opponents.

Key Showdown This Week!

Our sources on the Hill are telling us that the debate this week in the Senate Finance Committee could be the most important debate in this battle over socialized healthcare.

Two action items:

Action Item #1 — Fax Senate Finance Committee

We are urging all team members to schedule faxes to their two senators and the key members of the Senate Finance Committee TODAY.

Again — the key votes could start Tuesday and will take place this week. Go here to schedule your faxes:

http://www.grassfire.net/r.asp?U=21646&CID=122&RID=18742681

If you prefer to send faxes on your own we’ve done all the work for you. Simply click here to download targets and letters now:

http://www.grassfire.net/r.asp?U=21647&CID=122&RID=18742681

Action Item #2 — Call Your Two Senators

Also, call your two Senators and tell them you oppose the unconstitutional “individual mandate,” which is nothing more than a hidden tax:

Sen. Hutchison – 202-224-5922
Sen. Cornyn – 202-224-2934

Thanks for taking action,
Steve Elliott, President
Grassfire.org

P.S. ObamaCare and its “individual mandate” is unconstitutional and amounts to a massive new tax. Please let your Senators know where you stand!

A message to all members of THE 912 COALITION

Greetings…

Spending freeze, no new taxes, closing the borders, domestic energy production now… wow, Glenn Beck really sets the bar high for any politician or candidate looking to gain 912ers support! Have you seen Glenn Beck’s Pledge For Elected Officials? He will be announcing them later this week on TV and Radio. But why wait? Take a moment now and you can find it at the National 912 Petitions website.

Step 1 in Glenn’s post 912 March action plan is identifying any existing politicians in Washington that want to “step-up” by signing the 5 pledges shown. Will one of your representatives “make the pledge”? There is only one way to find out. Sending a copy of the pledges and asking your representatives to “step-up” is as easy as clicking a few buttons! So why wait another day? Send the 5 pledge request to your Senators and Congressman today. http://www.national912petitions.com

It’s fast. It’s free. And it’s easy. Who knows? We might just find tomorrows leaders today among some of our current representatives. If we don’t the next step will be to find a candidate who will sign the pledges and help them get elected in 2010!

Live Free…

We must build on the events of 9/12 starting TODAY. We can’t wait until tomorrow. We are the resistance. There is no group, be it republican or democrat, that can or will save us. It is up to us!

Keep these numbers and put them on speed dial.

1-877-851-6437, 1-800-833-6354, 1-866-220-0044,
1-866-808-0065, 1-877-762-8762, 1-866-340-9281,
1-800-862-5530

Call them daily or hourly, if you have the time. Let the Congress and Senate know there are more of us out here, and we stand with those who were marching in Washingtonon 912. This revolution has just begun, and it needs every single red- blooded American at the helm. We will not stand down or be intimidated.

We are fighting for our freedom, for our country, for our families, and for those who have no family to fight for them. We must bury our leaders in calls, letters and faxes and demand they hear the voice of the people.

We also need to bombard the news media outlets with our disapproval of their biased and incorrect reporting… and their intentional lack of reporting!
Write letters to the editor of your local paper, educating the public and encouraging them to think for themselves.

Act Now!

I was at the Tea Party in Washington DC on Saturday. It was Awesome beyond words.

Winter is coming and I am not a big fan of standing in cold and rain so I have a proposed solution.

I woke up this morning with an idea for a one day phone in Tea Party to any and all representatives from delegates to president.  A sure way to have our opinions counted.  {I am disgusted by the inability to accept a reasonable guesstimate by the leftists. I wish I was as sure that the counts by phone would be properly counted too}

I attended an ACT for America conference last fall where I learned that each callers opinion is counted not as one call but incrementally and exponentially the higher up the ladder.

I Propose:

A predesignated day to inundate the phone lines and emails, faxes, tweets etc to our elected officials about our issues with this administration.

This will give the rest of the population along with those uncounted tea party patriots a chance to “attend” a tea party (without hotel, Airfare, bus trips, car trips, train trips, and I even heard someone tell how they came to tea party by boat and bicycle!)

A future date would give us a chance to gather phone numbers, email addresses, twitter accounts and give us time to spread the word and phone numbers. I don’t have the means to have a website where all of this information could be made available.

I am just one person and I don’t have the means to get the word out to the masses. I am going to forward this to as many grass roots organizations and interested parties that I think could help with this endeavor. A possible meaningful date Washington’s Birthday. I think they don’t shut down for his birthday anymore. Of course opposition would be making calls as well to sabotage any efforts on our behalf but the squeaky wheel is louder.

Please let me know if you think that this is doable and if you could help or have any ideas.

Thank You,

Kim Gay

One of our members, Dixie, has suggested that we take up the challenge that Mr. Zamora suggested at our meeting last Tuesday, and WRITE SNAILMAIL LETTERS to our elected reps, all at the same time.

She suggests that everyone jot their own thoughts about the HealtCare proposals, and mail them all over this weekend, so they will all flood their mail about the time the Congress begins taking up the HealthCare again.

A list of those addresses is on the RGVTP website, click on Harlingen logo, and then “Elected Officials” link.

I received this email from L. Garcia this evening and am passing it along:

Hi Chris,
In case you missed it, Sergio had Rep. Cuellar on his Saturday morning show on KURV. Cuellar answered call-in questions (poorly) from about 9 am to 10 am. Several MTP members, including myself were able to ask questions. It has come to our attention KURV needs to hear from citizens who appreciate what Sergio is doing. That morning, he did what no one else in all the Valley media has done, ask the bold questions and refuse to accept spin answers. May I suggest any TTTP or HTP members who heard the show or are glade someone like Sergio is on the airwaves contact KURV’s manager, Bert Collins and tell him so? His email address is bcollins@bmpradio.com Thanks!
