Author Oleg Atbashian presents his book to a libertarian/conservative group Liberty on the Rocks in Colorado Springs, August 23, 2011.

Oleg Atbashian is a writer and graphic artist from the former USSR. Born and raised in Ukraine, he used to be a teacher, a translator, a worker, a freelance journalist, and at one time a propaganda artist, creating visual agitprop for the local Party committee in a Siberian town. In 1994, he emigrated to the USA hoping to live in a country that was ruled by reason and common sense. Ironically, he now lives in New York City. He is the creator ofThePeoplesCube.com, a satirical website where he writes under the name of Red Square.

The Rise of the LEFT Under OBAMA

By Jon Bauman
Woodlands, TEXAS

Happy New Year???

My prediction for 2011 is that it will be dominated by federal regulatory excesses; so much so that the conventional wisdom that Obama is going to “move to the center” to “ensure his re-election” will, once again, be shown to be as misguided as ever.

The challenge to Republicans will be to expose this over-the-top regulation as the unconstitutional power grab it is, stop it, and make sure Obama gets appropriately tarnished as the LEFTIST he is in the process. We are going to witness so much outrageous regulatory abuse that it will be a huge challenge for Congress to keep on top of it.  And, to the extent Congress cannot meet this challenge, be prepared for considerable loss of freedom and significant increases in taxes masquerading as higher costs. This is not a hard prediction to make, since it has already started.  In the couple of weeks, we have:

From American Thinker
By Paul Kengor

After years of digging into countless pages of FBI files, KGB documents, Soviet media archives, dusty old copies of the Daily Worker, declassified Comintern Archives on Communist Party USA, and much more, my book was finally going to press, exposing how the communist movement, from Moscow to New York, cynically manipulated — read: duped — liberals/progressives for nearly a century.

Among the words haunting me as I delivered the final manuscript were these: “I am open to the possibility that herein I myself have been duped on occasion.” I acknowledged the likelihood that later declassified documents might reveal certain “innocents” in my book as actually something far worse.

Stalinism” is a useful term for the totalitarian left — even to the left itself. It’s one word they haven’t been able to chew up, gulp down, and transform into its opposite. They still know what “Stalinist” means, even after generations of new names for the same community agitators: “The New Left,” “hippies,” “Black Panthers,” “youthful radicals,” “idealistic students,” “feminists,” “the workers,” “black nationalists,” “Third World socialists,” “the wretched of the earth,” “Green Party,” “Gay activists,” “LGBT,” “Global Warming,” “peace and freedom party,” “eco activists,” “civil rights campaigners,” “post-modernists,” “gender studies,” “J Street,” “Bolivarismo,” “ACORN,” “undocumented workers,” “Moveon.org,” “Liberation Theology” — there must be hundreds and hundreds of front labels for the Same-Old, Same-Old. They make up new ones all the time. This year’s fashionable lefty cult is called “progressivism!”

“Where we now stand is stolen, occupied Mexico…”

From the La Raza rally at UCLA.  More gems:

‘Communist Revolution’
‘Frail, racist white people’
‘La Raza’ (the Race)
Fidel Castro
‘Northern Front of Latin Revolution’
“40 million…revolutionaries…in the belly of the beast”
“Our enemy is Capitalism and Imperialism”.

Sedition anyone?  – http://StandWithArizona.com

Sanchee H.S. history teacher Ron Gochez, La Raza Rally at UCLA

We are revolutionary Mexican organization here. We understand that this is not just about Mexico. Its about a global struggle against imperialism and capitalism At the forefront of this revolutionary movement is La Raza. We will no longer fall for these lies called borders. We see America as a northern front of a revolutionary movement.  Our enemy is capitalism and imperialism.

Ron Gochez is NOT a professor at UCLA. Gochez is currently a HISTORY teacher (yikes) at Santee H.S. in Los Angeles.

Watch this and think about this – What would have been the media reaction if the protesters had been white instead of brown?

There is no audio in this video, but none is needed.  Just watch.  And think about all the Tea Party protests you’ve seen on TV over the past year.  Have you ever seen this level of violence and outright hatred in any Tea Party protest?  Why hasn’t this been played in an endless loop on the cable news shows?

If you are an American citizen and love this country, you need to watch this video.  This is what the citizens of Arizona are up against right now.

I’ve been feeling funky since Black Sunday, the day of the health care debacle. As a therapist, I’m usually able to identity my feelings. But this one had left me stumped.

I went through the usual laundry list of emotions: Am I depressed? (A little, but that’s not it.)  Worried, scared?  (Yes, but who isn’t?)  Angry?  (Very, but that’s still not what’s bugging me.)

It took a conversation with a conservative friend, Nancy, for me to pinpoint the feeling. Nancy told me that a Jewish co-worker, a staunch Obama supporter, was feeling “shell-shocked” by Obama’s vilifying Israel.

Bingo. That’s what it is: stunned, shell-shocked, traumatized.

But it’s not PTSD — post-traumatic stress disorder — because then Obama would be ancient history. It’s trauma happening right here, right now, at lightning speed.

What Happened to Argentina Can Happen to US

(From NewsRealBlog)

By Liz Blaine

While lurking the web I ran across a set of videos that fall into the “must view” category for conservatives this year. Recorded during Conservative New Media’s workshop the videos focus on tactics used by leftists and astroturfers during the 2008 primaries and election, and methods to defeat them.

The first 8 minutes of Part 1 provide historical background, but picking up thereafter you’ll find practical information on tactics taken straight out the Left’s playbook ranging from pulling down videos and astroturfing protests to death threats. If you’re interested in defeating the leftists on the net and at the polls then these videos are for you.

I am motivated to write this document early in the communist takeover of my country so I won’t have the same regrets that I had in my old country, Cuba, 50 years ago by not explaining to my friends what the big Communist plan was all about.

I decided to write this after I had a conversation with a great, old friend of mine born and raised in the USA.

When I told my friend that we were moving fast into communism, he laughed his head off telling me that this was impossible. I think it is worth mentioning that this friend of mine is a well educated, intelligent member of our society which I always admire.

It’s happening right now in the Senate.  It will take only a simple majority, and it will be done.  The outcome was never in doubt.  All the noise about moderates and Blue Dogs and Pro Life democrats was exactly that – just noise.  The outcome was never in doubt.

The Progressives have won.  It took nearly 100 years, but they won.  Fascism has come home to America.

Don’t believe even for a moment that the House will hesitate to approve the Senate version of the health bill.  There are no principled patriots among the democrats in either House.  They will vote this in and cobble a “win” for Obama, their Dear Leader.
