Newton Leroy Gingrich wants your vote. Unfortunately for him, he has to lug around baggage he’d really like us to forget.  Well maybe we will, but not just yet.

Bag 1
Freddie Mac is one of the wildly corrupt government-subsidized lenders responsible for igniting our current economic woes.  In 2004, President Bush correctly diagnosed its problem as a serious lack of oversight, and tried to pass some reforms.  The Democrats in Congress blocked it (naturally). In 2006, John McCain warned of the impending economic apocalypse, while the Republican Congress was picking up where Bush left off, trying to get FM under control. And what was Newt doing?  Newt was working as a lobbyist for Freddie Mac, to the tune of $300,000.  He also was quoted as saying that FM was a “solid business model.”

Bag 2
In the 1990s, Newt led the fight to stop HillaryCare.  But in 2005, he started cozying up to its author, dedicated socialist and national disgrace Hillary Clinton, the most corrupt first lady in our nation’s history. He appeared with her at a press conference that year in support of-are you ready for this-healthcare legislation!
The New York Times later had this to say:
“ . . . Mr. Gingrich has been talking up Mrs. Clinton’s presidential prospects in 2008, to the chagrin of conservative loyalists who once regarded him as a heroic figure (emphasis mine). Last month, he even suggested she might capture the presidency, saying ‘any Republican who thinks she’s going to be easy to beat has a total amnesia about the history of the Clintons.’”  (On occasion, the New York Times accurately reports the news.)

“But he’s so smart!” Are you sure? It gets worse.

Bag 3
In this link, you can watch the commercial he made with another dedicated socialist, Nancy Pelosi, who actively promotes environmentalism for no reason whatsoever except to spread Marxism. When I saw this on television, my jaw dropped to the floor! Note at the bottom of the ad a line appears that says, “Paid for by the Alliance for Climate Protection.”  “What is the Alliance for Climate Protection?” you ask?  It’s an organization “committed to educating the global community about the urgency of implementing comprehensive solutions to the climate crisis” and it was started by another dedicated Marxist, the climate-fraud-pedaling, mentally unbalanced Al Gore.  The president and CEO for the Alliance for Climate Protection is professional leftist Maggie Fox, who is the past national president of America Votes, another Marxist organization that promotes socialism through election fraud.  Not smart, Newt.

Bag 4
Newt suffers from what is sometimes called “wandering eye.”  Others call it, “lusting after women you aren’t married to.”  He currently is on his third marriage.  I suspect the only reason he bothered to marry again was to create a more palatable candidacy, and to shield himself from the questions that would surely come.

At age 19, Newt married his first wife Jackie Battley, his high school geometry teacher.  (She was 26.) While married to Jackie, he hooked up with Marrianne Ginther, divorced Jackie & married Marrianne.  While married to Marrianne, he took up with House staffer Calista Bisek, 26 years his junior, and divorced Marianne to marry Calista.  Their affair went on during the Lewinsky scandal, as Newt led the investigation of Bill Clinton for perjury and obstruction of justice on account of his philandering. Nice.

Newt explains his chronic cheating by saying he worked too hard. Maybe a good night’s sleep would have been better. I guess the reason most of us don’t cheat on our spouses is because we don’t work very hard.  Of his presidential bid, he has said, “. . . the American people will have to decide whether that’s [his moral lapses] their primary concern. If the primary concern of the American people is my past, my candidacy would be irrelevant.”  Given the fact that past actions are good indicators of future actions, I would say “irrelevant” pretty well sums it up.

Now that he has converted to Catholicism, he speaks eloquently about God’s forgiveness.  The message being conveyed is that he has repented, and God has forgiven him; And if God has forgiven him, why shouldn’t we?  I can forgive him, though I don’t see any need to.  He didn’t do anything to me.  He hurt his first two wives & his children.  He should seek their forgiveness, not mine.

Has anyone ever noticed that when slick politicians get caught doing the wrong thing, they claim to have received God’s forgiveness in order to mingle two entirely different & separate issues.  Forgiveness is one issue.  Fitness to lead is quite another, and they have nothing to do with each other.  If you feel you should forgive Newt, by all means do it!  But the crucially relevant question is, is he morally competent to lead our great nation?  To answer that, ask yourself this question:  If his wives can’t trust him, how can I?

If Newt gets elected, and gets caught up in his old ways, there will be no press cover ups.  They will go after him on this, and every thing else like starving, rabid dogs.  Does this make anyone nostalgic for the humiliating years of the Clinton presidency?

Hello?  What about having a first lady who clearly has no more respect for marriage vows than her husband?  Imagine a spectacle like that for a minute or two, and ponder the notion that for all of Newt’s great intellect, maybe he just isn’t presidential material.

To all Tea Party or related Patriot Groups,

This is information on a National Tea Party Convention that will be held in Kansas City area in late September this year. It’s purpose is to let the Tea Parties across America voice their opinion on who they want to see as a Republican Presidential and VP choice. It is NOT to nominate any 3rd party candidate. It will help overcome the main stream media’s influence on who THEY want to be the Republican nominees.

This is FREE to attend. It will be a large Jamboree or county fair type atmosphere at the open air convention. It will run about 3 days and the Tea Party vote totals for President and VP will be announced Saturday night at the convention.

If you and your Tea Party are fed up with the main stream media picking the Republican candidates, and your want YOUR voice heard on these selections, then this Jamboree/Convention is for you!

Additional information about the Jamboree is provided in a 4 page WORD write-up attached to this E mail. The Freedom Jamboree committee has also made a U Tube video that explains the purpose of the Jamboree. Other info can also be found on their website at www.freedomjamboree.com Both the 4 page WORD summary and the U tube video are attached for your review. You can also call me at 903-297-3436 for more information.

Please look over the information and let me know if your Tea Party is interested in joining as a registered Tea Party, wants to be a voting Tea Party, or has people interested in attending the Jamboree. I would really appreciate a return E mail or phone call (home # 903-297-3436) to verify that you received this information and if your group is interested in this Jamboree convention.

We hope this Jamboree will be as big or bigger than the Tea Party marches on Washington, DC over the last 2 years. If you missed those opportunities, then here’s another one that you should not miss.

Thank you,

OVERVIEW

This is information on a Nationwide Tea Party Straw Poll Nominating Convention that will be held at the Woodlands Race Track in the Kansas City area on Sept 28th to October 1, 2011 (Wed to Sunday). Wednesday and Thursday are arrival and caucus days. The main convention starts on Friday September 30 and ends with the winning candidate speeches, the JAM concert, and fireworks display on Saturday night. There is a national worship service on Sunday October 2nd for those not traveling out early that day .

The purpose of the convention is to provide a way for Tea Parties to nominate who WE THE PEOPLE want to see run as President and Vice President candidates in the Spring 2012 primary races. This is NOT to pick a 3rd party (Tea Party) candidate, but to influence who WE would like to see as Republican and Democrat candidates in 2012.

IF YOU WANT A VOICE IN DETERMINING WHO THE CANDIDATES ARE FOR PRESIDENT IN 2012 – AND ARE NOT CONTENT TO LET THE LIBERAL MAINSTREAM MEDIA DO THE PICKING FOR YOU – THEN THIS INFORMATION IS FOR YOU!

HERE’S HOW IT WORKS

Every Tea Party that joins the convention gets 1 vote for Pres and VP. Their local Tea Party people in each state who have volunteered to help with their state Tea Party registrations vet these Tea parties to ensure they are legit. Each Tea Party (or WTP group, 9-12 group, Grassroots America group, etc) gets 1 vote no matter how big or small their group is. The vote can be cast in person at the convention or by phone by the group’s designated representative. The votes are totaled up on Saturday night and the winners get a big wind to their backs entering the Spring 2012 primary season.
NATIONAL TEA PARTY NOMINATING CONVENTION IN KANSAS CITY AREA ON SEPT 30th TO OCTOBER 2nd, 2011 Page: 2 of 4

This is FREE – yes free to join and participate. There is no cost to register your group or to get into the event, but there is a fee to register your delegate who will cast your vote for Pres and VP. This fee is $100 until July 1 and $150 after July 1. The organizers hope that donations at the Jamboree will defray the costs to put on this large Tea Party event.

This convention will be held in a large open field type environment at the Woodlands Race Track in Kansas City, Kansas. Address is 9700 Leavenworth Road Kansas City, Kansas 66109. The main convention will start at noon on Friday September 28th and end Saturday night October 1st. Wednesday will be for early arrival for those Rving in. There are now 520 RV site available at the Woodlands. Thursday will be a state caucus day with some entertainment and food vendors on site. Sunday will have a prayer service.

The Freedom Jamboree will be run as an open-air Tea Party rally with a country fair theme and tailgate party atmosphere. Each state will have its own caucus area identified with a large state flag and adjoining RV and camping areas within. There is a small cost per day if you RV on site or want to camp at the Jamboree. You can mingle with the Tea Parties from your state or with other Tea Parties from across the nation .

The Woodlands Racetrack is right outside Kansas City. Hotels and other services are close to the Racetrack if you are not looking to RV or camp at the Jamboree. You can stay in motels in Kansas City and commute to the Convention if desired. The site will be close enough to do this. The committee is looking into shuttle buses to make this easy. Check out the website for more information on this services.

The convention is family friendly and families are encouraged to attend. The campgrounds and convention will be full of like-minded Tea Party patriots from across the nation. There will be lots of Tea Party and national political speakers, big name musicians, and other entertainment. If you have never attended a large political rally like this, it will be the event of a lifetime.

Once the convention is over, the organization that puts it on will disband. They are doing this as a one-time thing. They have no intentions of doing this every year – just for 2012.

WHO ARE THE EVENT ORGANIZERS?

The people organizing this convention are Tea Party grassroots people, not any national or paid group. They are Tea Party people from the Southeast (Atlanta, GA) area.

They are all volunteers and are committed to being as open as possible with the event finances. More information on the convention organizers can be found on their website www.freedomjamboree.com

This convention is not being organized or sponsored by the National Tea Party Patriots or Tea Party Express organizations. It is strictly a low cost family type affair hosted by grassroots Tea Party groups that are concerned that TEA PARTY people have a voice in who THEY would like to see as presidential candidates in 2012.

WHICH POLITICAL AND NEW MEDIA PEOPLE ARE COMING?

Invitations have been sent out to numerous political people to attend the convention. Many have accepted, even at this early date. More will come when this convention really starts to roll and the politicians realize the positive influence this can have on the candidates who do well in the Tea Party voting. The organizers expect most, if not all, of the big name candidates to be at the convention.
NATIONAL TEA PARTY NOMINATING CONVENTION IN KANSAS CITY AREA ON SEPT 30th TO OCTOBER 2nd, 2011 Page: 3 of 4

Fox News and Conservative Talk radio will be all over this convention. Several of the big names in each media are planning on attending. The media will attend once the size of the projected Tea Party attendance is known. In short – this convention will get plenty of media coverage and major players in the political arena. The organizers expect a large group of Tea Party people to attend this convention.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO TO SIGN UP YOUR TEA PARTY OR TO ATTEND THE CONVENTION?

Go to the website www.freedomjamboree.com or review this informational letter for all the information you need to answer your questions. You can also contact the regional convention coordinators, or the other names in this letter, for more information. The website will also allow you to reserve an RV, camp space, or help with hotel locations.

To Register Your Tea Party and Show How Many are Coming to the Jamboree

Go to the website www.freedomjamboree.com and click on Register Your Group. Fill out the information and submit. THIS IS FREE and you should be be registered as a Tea Party type group when you attend the Jamboree. Your group will show up as a RED Balloon on the US map once your group has been accepted.

To Register Your Tea Party Delegate to Vote in the Nominating Convention

It will cost $100 (or $150 if you register past July1) for your Tea Party to participate in the voting process at the Jamboree. This is required to cover the costs of the cell phone banks and other equipment needed for the voting process. Unfortunately, this is an expense that Conservatives need to pay to make this process work. I firmly believe that this cost is well worth paying to provide a significant media push to the Tea Party nominated candidates for the 2012 elections.

To register your delegate, go the website and click on Register a Delegate. Follow the directions to register your Tea Party delegate and pay the registration fee. After the registration and payment process is completed, your Tea Party balloon will then turn Blue on the US map to verify your registration. You are now registered to vote your Tea Party’s selection for the 2012 elections.

FINANCIALS

This Tea Party nominating convention is being staged at as low a cost as possible. However, the organizers will have costs that must be covered up front – liability insurance, website build and hosting, stage/lighting/sound/LED projection costs, electricity installation, security, EMT/medical, shuttle bus services, trash pickup, etc.

They are asking that Tea Party groups across the nation do some fund raising or ask for group donations to help with these costs. There is also a “Donate Now” button on the website to help cover the convention costs.
NATIONAL TEA PARTY NOMINATING CONVENTION IN KANSAS CITY AREA ON SEPT 30th TO OCTOBER 1st, 2011 Page: 4 of 4

The Tea Party groups around the nation can help support this nominating convention by asking members to visit the website and donating via the “donate now” button. Collections for the convention costs can also be taken up at Tea Parties or group meetings. Any cash or check donations can be made to “Freedom Jamboree” and sent to the address below. Donations are Tax Deductable.

Freedom Jamboree
P. O. Box 1722
Brunswick, GA 31521

This group of individuals has committed to providing a listing of all income vs. all expenditures for this convention on a monthly basis. This will be done through the website. Any money left over after the convention will be returned proportionally to the groups that gave to the event.

It would not take much of a donation from each Tea Party across the nation to make a huge difference in the financial health for this convention. Business donations will also be accepted and are actively encouraged. If we don’t support this convention, and end up with 2012 Presidential candidates that do not have the Tea Party values that America desperately needs, then we have no one to blame but ourselves.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

Register your Tea Party (or other grassroots group) on the website. Encourage as many of your group to attend the convention as possible. It will be a fun event and a lasting memory for a lifetime. They will be glad they did.

Select a delegate from your group to vote in the straw poll and send in the $100 (or $150 after July 1) voter registration fee. This is a small cost to help influence the direction America will take in the next 4 years.

Encourage your group members to donate to the Convention through the “Donate Now” button on the website. Donations can also be made by collections at your meetings or Tea Parties and sent to the mailing address that is provided.

Spread the word about the Jamboree to all other Conservative groups that you know and encourage them to attend and sign up delegates to vote. Use E-mail, Facebook, websites, and all other media to spread the information and encourage Conservatives to join us in this historic “Freedom Jamboree”. All help is greatly appreciated!

By Chris Rowan

Interesting. I thought I’d polish up on my rationale for not supporting Ron Paul by googling “top 10 reasons for not voting for Ron Paul,” figuring that someone else has probably already been there and done that. I clicked on the first entry (someone’s blog) and started reading . . .

1. Ron Paul does not value equal rights for minorities. Ron Paul has sponsored legislation that would repeal affirmative action, keep the IRS from investigating private schools who may have used race as a factor in denying entrance, thus losing their tax exempt status, would limit the scope of Brown versus Board of Education, and would deny citizenship for those born in the US if their parents are not citizens.

I actually agree with him on this one. Affirmative Action may have been necessary years ago, but not anymore.  Race preference is discrimination, no matter how you cut it.  Whatever happened to judging people based on the content of their character?

2. Ron Paul would deny women control of their bodies and reproductive rights.  Ron Paul makes it very clear that one of his aims is to repeal Roe v. Wade. He has also co sponsored 4 separate bills to “To provide that human life shall be deemed to exist from conception.” This, of course, goes against current medical and scientific information as well as our existing laws and precedents.

Eh, I agree with him on this one, too.  “Reproductive rights” is just LibProg codespeak for “abortion.”  I don’t know of a single aborted fetus that is pro-abortion.

3.  Ron Paul would be disastrous for the working class. He supports abolishing the Federal minimum wage, has twice introduced legislation to repeal OSHA, or the Occupational Safety and Health Act and would deal devastating blows to Social Security including repealing the act that makes it mandatory for employees of nonprofits, to make “coverage completely optional for both present and future workers”, and would “freeze benefit levels”. He has also twice sponsored legislation seeking to repeal the Davis-Bacon Act and the Copeland Act which among other things provide that contractors for the federal government must provide the prevailing wage and prohibits corporate “kick backs.”

Agree. The federal minimum wage only serves to drive inflation upward, and OSHA has been a tool of the unions ever since its inception. Social Security should be voluntary.

4. Ron Paul’s tax plan is unfair to lower earners and would greatly benefit those with the highest incomes. He has repeatedly submitted amendments to the tax code that would get rid of the estate and gift taxes, tax all earners at 10%, disallow income tax credits to individuals who are not corporations, repeal the elderly tax credit, child care credit, earned income credit, and other common credits for working class citizens.

I agree that estate and gift taxes should be abolished, as well as all thinly disguised wealth redistribution schemes such as tax “credits” to favored (read “Democrat”) groups.  Why does someone who pays no federal income tax deserve a tax credit from the government (i.e., the rest of us who pay taxes)?

5. Ron Paul’s policies would cause irreparable damage to our already strained environment. Among other travesties he supports off shore drilling, building more oil refineries, mining on federal lands, no taxes on the production of fuel, and would stop conservation efforts that could be a “Federal obstacle” to building and maintaining refineries. He has also sought to amend the Clean Air Act, repeal the Soil and Water Conservation Act of 1977, and to amend the Federal Water Pollution Control Act to “restrict the jurisdiction of the United States over the discharge of dredged or fill material to discharges into waters”.

I agree to more drilling here, both on and offshore. More refining. More mining. Lower taxes. And repeal or amend the Clean Air Act so the EPA cannot punish American industry with onerous regulations and taxes.

6. A Ron Paul administration would continue to proliferate the negative image of the US among other nations. Ron Paul supports withdrawing the US from the UN, when that has not happened he has fought to at least have the US withdrawn from the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization. He has introduced legislation to keep the US from giving any funds to the UN. He also submitted that the US funds should not be used in any UN peacekeeping mission or any UN program at all. He has sponsored a bill calling for us to “terminate all participation by the United States in the United Nations, and to remove all privileges, exemptions, and immunities of the United Nations.”Ron Paul twice supported stopping the destruction of intercontinental ballistic missile silos in the United States. He also would continue with Bush’s plan of ignoring international laws by maintaining an insistence that the International Criminal Court does not apply to the US, despite President Clinton’s signature on the original treaty.

All sounds good to me.  Let the UN building slide into the Hudson, for all I care.  The UN is a corruptocracy that rewards sadistic regimes like Syria and punishes truly free and classically liberal societies like Israel.

7. Ron Paul discriminates on the basis of sexual orientation and would not provide equal rights and protections to glbt citizens. This is an issue that Paul sort of dances around. He has been praised for stating that the federal government should not regulate who a person marries. This has been construed by some to mean that he is somewhat open to the idea of same sex marriage, he is not. Paul was an original co sponsor of the Marriage Protection Act in the House in 2004. Among other things this discriminatory piece of legislation placed a prohibition on the recognition of a same sex marriage across state borders. He said in 2004 that if he was in the Texas legislature he would not allow judges to come up with “new definitions” of marriage. Paul is a very religious conservative and though he is careful with his words his record shows that he is not a supporter of same sex marriage. In 1980 he introduced a particularly bigoted bill entitled “A bill to strengthen the American family and promote the virtues of family life.” or H.R.7955 A direct quote from the legislation “Prohibits the expenditure of Federal funds to any organization which presents male or female homosexuality as an acceptable alternative life style or which suggest that it can be an acceptable life style.” shows that he is unequivocally opposed to lifestyles other than heterosexual.

I thought Ron Paul was either a supporter of same sex marriage, or would not oppose it vigorously. Hmm.

8. Ron Paul has an unnatural obsession with guns. One of Paul’s loudest gripes is that the second amendment of the constitution is being eroded. In fact, he believes that September 11 would not have happened if that wasn’t true. He advocates for there to be no restrictions on personal ownership of semi-automatic weaponry or large capacity ammunition feeding devices, would repeal the Gun-Free School Zones Act (because we all know our schools are just missing more guns), wants guns to be allowed in our National Parks, and repeal the Gun Control Act of 1968. Now, I’m pretty damn certain that when the Constitution was written our founding fathers never intended for people to be walking around the streets with AK47?s and “large capacity ammunition feeding devices.” (That just sounds scary.) Throughout the years our Constitution has been amended and is indeed a living document needing changes to stay relevant in our society. Paul has no problem changing the Constitution when it fits his needs, such as no longer allowing those born in the US to be citizens if their parents are not. On the gun issue though he is no holds barred. I know he’s from Texas but really, common sense tells us that the amendments he is seeking to repeal have their place. In fact, the gun control act was put into place after the assassinations of JFK, Martin Luther King, and Robert Kennedy.

Once again, I am in agreement with Ron Paul. The Second Amendment is very clear to anyone who can read and understand the English language.

9. Ron Paul would butcher our already sad educational system. The fact is that Ron Paul wants to privatize everything and that includes education. Where we run into problems is that it has been shown (think our current health care system) that this doesn’t work so well in practice. Ron Paul has introduced legislation that would keep the Federal Government “from planning, developing, implementing, or administering any national teacher test or method of certification and from withholding funds from States or local educational agencies that fail to adopt a specific method of teacher certification.” In a separate piece of legislation he seeks to “prohibit the payment of Federal Education assistance in States which require the licensing or certification of private schools or private school teachers.” So basically the federal government can’t regulate teaching credentials and if states opt to require them for private schools they get no aid. That sounds like a marvelous idea teachers with no certification teaching in private schools that are allowed to discriminate on the basis of race. He is certainly moving forward with these proposals!Remember his “bill to strengthen the American family and promote the virtues of family life.” or H.R.7955? Guess what? He basically advocates for segregation in schools once again. It “Forbids any court of the United States from requiring the attendance at a particular school of any student because of race, color, creed, or sex.” Without thinking about this statement it doesn’t sound bad at all. But remember, when desegregating schools that this is done by having children go to different schools, often after a court decision as in Brown Vs. Board of Education. If this were a bill that passed, schools would no longer be compelled to comply and the schools would go back to segregation based on their locations. Ron Paul is really starting to look like a pretty bigoted guy don’t you think?

Eh, No. Actually, I think this is a terrific idea. Get the Federal government out of the business of teaching our children. Leave that up to local communities and the various states. Forced desegregation led to a mass exodus from the inner cities, resulting in a situation much worse than before. Nearly half of Detroit’s adult population is functionally illiterate, and most of them have high school diplomas. Top-down, federally funded and directed schools have clearly failed. Private and charter schools perform much better, on average, for less money.

10. Ron Paul is opposed to the separation of church and state. This reason is probably behind every other thing that I disagree with in regards to Paul’s positions. Ron Paul is among those who believes that there is a war on religion, he stated “Through perverse court decisions and years of cultural indoctrination, the elitist, secular Left has managed to convince many in our nation that religion must be driven from public view.” (( Koyaanisqatsi Blog: Wrong Paul Why I Do Not Want Ron Paul to be My President )) Though he talks a good talk, at times, Ron Paul can’t get away from his far right, conservative views. He would support “alternative views” to evolution taught in public schools (i.e. Intelligent Design.) We’ve already taken a look at his “bill to strengthen the American family and promote the virtues of family life.” or H.R.7955 Besides hating the gays he takes a very religious stance on many other things. He is attempting to force his beliefs on the rest of America, exactly what he would do as president.

And once again, I agree with Ron Paul.

My google search didn’t turn out as I had expected.

By Capt Jim Kinney USN (ret)

Just a few thoughts from the past couple of weeks…trying to make sense of what passes for wisdom on the political front in Washington DC.

WHAT CONSTITUTES “TORTURE”?

Should we use torture to extract information from terrorists?

This past weekend on the news talk shows…a liberal guest in supporting the idea espoused by the President that torture in not part of our national character said, “We don’t support pulling out teeth or plucking out eyes…”

The comment went unchallenged…here’s the problem…none of us support that type of physical torture…and, that type of abuse has never been alleged in the liberal’s battle against “enhanced interrogation techniques.”

Sleep deprivation, humiliation, threats of physical abuse…oh, and water boarding are all enhanced techniques that have been used by our interrogators, but actual physical abuse…never even alleged…we have consistently drawn the line at inflicting physical pain that could cause any long term damage.

So, why do the liberals include eye gouging and teeth pulling to strengthen their argument against enhanced interrogation?

Perhaps because their case against the type of interrogation used by the CIA and Military cannot stand scrutiny if the discussion is limited to the actual facts.

WHAT IS IT THEY DON’T UNDERSTAND?

What was the November election about? Government spending…voters clearly wanted smaller government. But the conservatives in Congress are on the verge of folding.

It now looks doubtful that we’ll get any meaningful entitlement reform, so everything else they offer up is only playing in the margins and not solving our real problems.

Their excuse…political reality…meaning they can’t get reform passed in the Senate or signed by the President…and they are plain afraid of standing for the truth for fear of losing an election. Their thought process seems to be, “The voters sent us here to get things done”.

Yes…and No…we didn’t mean, “Do something…even if its wrong.”

We prefer gridlock to more debt. We prefer not raising the debt ceiling if it means more taxes. I’m not sure I know what the short term pain would be if we fail to raise the debt ceiling…but it is certain that the long term pain of unbridled borrowing and spending will destroy America.

WHY IS HE TALKING ABOUT IMMIGRATION?

Have you asked yourself why the president chose last week to address border security and amnesty for illegal immigrants?

It would seem to most Americans that we ought to be hearing his plan on reducing the deficit…or on entitlement reform…or creating jobs…or his plan to reduce gas prices…or a coherent energy policy…or plans to deal with the looming inflation. You think there might be some other things that need more immediate attention?

But think about it…he’s worn out the Osama Bin Laden story…or at least doesn’t like the questions surfacing about the morality of assassinations versus water-boarding. He is bankrupt of any ideas on how to fix what’s broken. His idea of leadership is to call for another commission…so what’s he got to say?

He’s using a tactic we’ve all employed…when you don’t like the current conversation…change the subject. Have you noticed how often this President changes the subject? And, by the way it wouldn’t hurt to buy a few Hispanics votes given his unpopularity with other large voting blocks.

UNDERSTANDING POLLS

What do you make of recent polls showing strong support for a third party?

A majority of Americans support the idea of a viable third party while only 32% believe the current two party system is adequate.

Conventional wisdom completely misreads these poll numbers by focusing on a third party presidential candidate.

The great discontent…and support for a third party rises from the fact that most Americans feel betrayed by Congress. Bickering, posturing, compromise and deceit are the hallmarks of both parties and Congress today.

A third party electing 35 Congressmen would be able to name the Speaker and committee chairs and with that, greatly influence the budget…and the size of the federal government. A parliamentary House would change DC.

A friend, Tim Cox has a plan take over the House in one election cycle…though he is unwilling to call his plan a third party…it truly is an unconventional third party focused solely on the House of Representatives. For more on this potential 2012 third party go to Tim’s website: www.goooh.com.

If you have not yet checked out Tim’s site, put it on your “to-do” list. Mr. Cox, an ordinary man with an extraordinary passion for America may just have the solution. In the past we’ve said, we can’t vote for a third party conservative because that will simply drain votes from the Republican and let the Democrat win the election…

ASK YOURSELF THIS…given that neither party is willing to take our deficits and national debt seriously…does either party really offer a solution to our crisis?

IF YOUR ANSWER IS NO…then ultimately our only hope may be a viable third party representation in the House of Representatives…

COULD IT BE ANY WORSE???

I watched the debate on Fox last night. Not all of it, but enough to know that I like Herman Cain – a lot – and don’t much care for Pawlenty or Santorum. Ron Paul says a lot of things I agree with, but he just doesn’t do it for me. Some of his supporters are just too freaking weird.
I like Cain, but there is a danger that his candidacy will be tarnished as an “also ran.” Lefties will accuse the GOP of latent racism by putting forward a black candidate. They’d point and say “See? They really are racists. They’re nominating a black man to disguise the fact that they hate blacks and minorities. Cain is just an Uncle Tom, a “house n####.” It reminds me of the controversy surrounding Michael Steele, when he was running to be GOP chairman.

We’re between a rock and a hard place. In the end, I’ll support the nominee, whoever it is. I really like Cain, for now.

Activist Chen Guangcheng and his immediate family are out of China. This is a good thing, and the Obama Administration deserves credit for making it happen. There are certain […]

  • Liberals Say Public Broadcasting’s $445 Million Federal Subsidy Is ‘Tiny’ May 19, 2012
NPR, PBS and other public broadcasting outlets are asking taxpayers to fork over $445 million in funding for the next fiscal year. But not if Sen. Jim DeMint (R-SC) and Rep. Doug Lamborn (R-CO) have anything to say about it. The conservative lawmakers want to defund the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, the steward of the federal government’s “investment” […]

When NATO leaders meet this weekend in Chicago, they are expected to announce an Interim Missile Defense Capability in Europe.
