Just watched Steven Crowder interview the filmmakers Ann McElhinney and Phelim McAleer, makers of the new documentary “Not Evil Just Wrong.” The film exposes the truths that inconvenience Al Gore — like the increasing population of polar bears. It’s easy to lose sight of the Big Picture nowadays and focus too much attention on one issue (e.g., Obamacare). The Left is on the march, and Obama was serious when he promised to fundamentally change this country.
Asserting control over 1/6 of the nation’s economy – the true aim of Obamacare – is just one leg of the stool upon which rests the hard left radical agenda of Obama and the Democrat leadership. The second leg is Cap and Trade, which will assert control over every single industry that produces carbon emissions. What proportion of our industrial base produces zero carbon emissions? Better put, what proportion of our industrial base produces significant carbon emissions? And who gets to define the word significant in the current context? The ramifications are both dizzying in their reach and terrifying in their potential for loss of liberty and its manifestations (e.g., private property, earned wages, salaries, savings, etc.).
The Cap and Trade train is fueled by global warming hysteria. Al Gore and his “Inconvenient Truth” propoganda piece masquerading as a documentary contribute greatly to this hysteria, in spite of the fact that a British court found the movie riddled with, shall we say, inaccuracies. Gore certainly has some skin in this game, as he continues to rake in millions and millions of dollars in the greatest scam ever foisted upon modern society – the trading of Carbon Credits.
Gore and the ecomarxists here and abroad have accomplished quite a lot in the past few years. Who could have predicted just 4 years ago that we would be poised to write into law egregiously bad Cap and Trade legislation that would both strangle our national economy and strip away most of our God-given rights as so artfully expressed in our nation’s Founding documents?
Given the seriousness of the issue, I think it worthwhile to watch Crowder’s interview and then visit the site, Not Evil Just Wrong. Get informed. Then DO SOMETHING about it.
