WE STAND TOGETHER!

We are all tired and have plenty to do, but IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT for us to set aside some time to stand together with Michelle Bachman and TEA Party Patriots from all over America on Thursday, Nov. 5th at 11:00 AM (12:00 ET) to oppose this monstrosity of a health care bill that is designed to be government control of Americans.

The Tip of Texas TEA Party encourages Harlingen, Brownsville and Surrounding Areas to join us as we rally near Representative Solomon Ortiz’s office at 11:00 AM on Thursday, Nov. 5th.

Paseo Plaza Shopping Center
1805 E. Ruben Torres Blvd.,
Brownsville (across the street from HEB)

It is suggested to send up to 3 people at a time in Ortiz’s office, each signing the register, voicing opposition to government controlled health care and delivering a letter.

Write a letter to your letter to your Congressman, asking him to VOTE NO on this Health Care bill. Bring the letter to the rally on Thursday, Nov. 5th, at 11:00 AM. You will be a part of this nation-wide effort to bring thousands of constituents to Congressional members’ offices to put pressure on them to vote AGAINST the proposed health care “reform” bill that is expected to go for a vote on Friday.

These individual letters truly make a difference and TEA Party Patriots encourages you to make a copy of your hand written letter and fax it to them at 678-302-5377.

They will hand deliver it for you!

E-mail those on your email lists and ask them to participate in the Congressional House Calls by visiting the District Office of their Congressional Member at 11:00 Am (noon ET) on Thursday, Nov. 5th.

Call everyone you know and spread the word.

Encourage everyone to come out for this.

It may well be our last chance to stop this take over by our government.

  • Top 10 Boneheaded Parenting Trends From the Left September 6, 2010
Parenting is a tough job but a lot of people are doing it. In fact, currently there are 150 million active parents in the United States. The big question these people face is how to do it? Does that quote strike you as odd? It was the introduction to an article on parenting trends. Aside […]

  • Hot Post: The Left’s Smoking Guns Of “Hate” And “Islamophobia” Fire Blanks September 5, 2010
This post was first published on August 30. I’ve always been a little dismayed that, with all the talent that they presumably have on their side, the Left can’t come up with anything better to pin on conservatives than the predictable epithets they usually trot out. “Racist! Bigot! Hateful!” They just can’t seem to come […]

  • Hot Post: Chris Matthews Whores Out the Catholic Church to Smear Glenn Beck September 5, 2010
Originally published here. Few things are more ugly than a man who would whore out his own bride for personal folly. Professed Catholic and MSNBC commentator Chris Matthews has done exactly that to his own church in a petty attempt to bring shame on Glenn Beck’s Restoring Honor rally. Matthews’ utter failure to report important […]

  • Obama’s Immigration Get out of Court Free Card September 3, 2010
There is an important column on immigration today in The Washington Times Commentary section by Mark Metcalf, a former Justice Department colleague and good friend of mine.  I previously reported for The Foundry on his testimony in June about our broken immigration court system before the House Judiciary Committee’s Subcommittee on Immigration, Citizenship, […]

  • Hugo Chavez: “Your Land is My Land!” September 3, 2010
Like all good socialists Venezuela’s Hugo Chavez believes private property is theft, so he wants to steal it back in the people’s name.  Chavez remains on an expropriation roll, having gobbled up huge sections of the Venezuelan economy, reportedly $22 billion in transactions in the past four years. For the powerful and prominent he has […]

  • The Obama Budget: Expanding Welfare, Undermining Marriage September 3, 2010
How can the government grow the nation’s welfare roles and undermine efforts to support marriage, in a single effort? It must simply follow the plan outlined in President Obama’s budget: pay states to grow their welfare roles and eliminate programs that encourage healthy marriage in low-income communities. Despite the fact that low work hours and […]

  • Big Labor’s Stealth Card-Check Strategy September 6, 2010
Having failed to pass the legislation they want, union bosses turn to the executive branch. After spending over a billion dollars to elect Barack Obama president and Democratic majorities to Congress in 2008, Big Labor thought it had bought enough support to ram through a “card check” bill that effectively eliminates secret-ballot votes for unionization and […]
  • The Higher Education Bubble September 6, 2010
Simple economics may force a reexamination of the reigning dogma that every American needs a college education. Imagine that you have a product whose price tag for decades has risen faster than inflation. But people keep buying it because they’re told that it will make them wealthier in the long run. Then, suddenly, they find it doesn’t. Prices fall sharply, […]
  • Hypocrisy Is Big Labor’s Big Problem September 6, 2010
Labor unions don’t play by the same rules they try to impose on everyone else. Amid Labor Day’s parades and picnics, union bosses will bellow Monday about workers’ rights and the alleged greed of management, especially inside Big Business. Such class-warfare sloganeering would be easier to stomach if Big Labor were internally consistent. Instead, when their […]

SurveyUSA is no fly-by-night operation in polling. They’ve been around a while, they have a reputation, and a great many newspapers seem use them to poll local House races. • Save the Light Bulb September 4, 2010
Dear John Boehner, Ted Poe, and Members of the incoming 112th Congress, If you do only one thing in your time in Washington, and frankly I hope you do only one thing given your propensity to expand government (other than eradicating Obamacare), it is this: SAVE THE LIGHT BULB. People may not realize it, but one of the first acts of the Democratic Congress in […]

  • Democrats argue it is fine to ban book promotion September 4, 2010
The “Young Guns” have a book. They also have a promotion tour and a video. Now, the Democrats could engage in a battle of ideas. But that’s not what they do. (are you surprised?) Instead the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee files a complaint with the Federal Election Commission that promoting the book violates election law. Really. By their interp […]
